Save paper, save trees.
I have been putting up and advertising this slogan
since 1995 but there is still a lot more to be done,
as so many of us still haven’t got the message.
They don’t teach this even in schools and colleges
where it should all start in the first place.
They are teaching hardly anything on saving the environment.
Instead there is so much emphasis on irrelevant subjects.
I see so many students wasting away so much of paper
to write out even a small problem
and a question or an answer,
and nobody seems to know that trees are being cut
day in and day out.
To start with, please write small and beautiful
on your copies, notebooks and registers
and do not waste paper unnecessarily.
In the 1940’s, Mahatma Gandhi used to write even on old envelopes
and spread the message of saving the resources.
And what about teaching a few subjects with
minimum of paper use?
It may be a new concept but it can surely be developed now.
